As an important propaganda agency in Hainan province, the TV station is responsible for introducing local political events, economy, culture, sports, and people's lives to the audience. The TV station has participated in live broadcasting of many big events. Considering the potential security risks facing its important application systems, the TV station needs to establish network and information security mechanisms and take technical measures to quickly detect and handle security risks and defects of the security system, ensuring efficient, stable, and secure operations of the application systems.

Solution architecture

Currently, the core application systems of the customer are facing various security threats inside or out of the systems. This brings legal risks concerning classified protection of cybersecurity. To eliminate such risks, the TV station needs to establish a multi-level, multidimensional security system to implement Level-3 classified protection for its portal site, TV broadcasting, and radio broadcasting systems.

Topsec provides a solution based on characteristics of the application systems and network structure. In this solution, eight Multi-Level Protection System nodes are deployed on the TV broadcasting system, radio broadcasting system, portal site system, and media and nonlinear editing system. The eight nodes are divided into four HA groups, and each HA group cooperates with a boundary protection device in bypass mode to provide audit capability. This solution has helped the customer to establish a classified protection system quickly to provide reliable security protection while meeting regulatory requirements.
